Romanian group discount market, 68% increase in February

Redutti.ro, that aggregates Romanian discount offers, made a report related t the increase of this market, showing that, in February, it increased by 68%, as resulted from an analysis of the coupons sold by Romanian specialized sites 

According to Redutti.ro, the income of the discount sites increased in February by 68%, compared to January, to RON 2,99M from RON 1,78M. Also, the number of offers incresed by 84%, to 842 from 457.

The medium value of discounts increased from 66.86% in January to 67.67% in February, giving the consumers the option to save, in total, for the 842 offers, a total of RON 8,66M.

According to the report, the sites that published the most offers during the study period were GroupOn.ro (130 offers), Kuponiada.ro (101 offers), FunDeal.ro (87 offers), Ideals.ro (56 offers) and Zumzi.ro (46 offers).

On the other hand, the biggest sales were made by fundeal.ro, followed by groupon.ro, kuponiada.ro, goldendeals.ro  and zumzi.ro.

Most offers were for Bucharest (675 representing 80.17% of total), Cluj-Napoca (33), Constanta (31), Iasi (31), Brasov (20), Timisoara (19) and others.

From popularity’s point of view for the discount coupons, the 1st place was occupied by personal care (35.39%), food and drinks (14.01%), sports & Hobbies (9.38%)
