In an absolute first for Romania and CEE,  McCann Erickson Romania won in Cannes some of the most important prizes in advertising’s history:

    • 2 Grand Prix Lions in Promo&Activation and Direct Lions
    • 1 Titanium Lion in Titanium and Integrated
    • 3 Gold Lions in Integrated, Direct Lions, Promo&Activations
    • 1 Silver Lions in Media Lions
    • 2 Bronze Lions in PR Lions

I hope Romanian advertising will not be the same from now on. I hope it will be better and more competitive – for sure, it will be seen different from now on in international competitions. We hope Cannes results we had this year will also inspire others and will attract a new generation of young and talented people towards advertising. We need them.

Cannes awards are the result of the decision we took a few years ago to position ourselves as a regional agency. We decided, back than, to align to international standards and that helped us to make campaigns out of the ordinary for our clients and to win no less than 5 prizes at the most recent Effie awards edition. McCann Erickson managed to achieve the extraordinary performance to win, with the New Rom campaign for Kandia Dulce, 9 awards at advertising’s Oscars, Cannes Lions.

The achievement of getting for the 1st time in Romania and in the region the Cannes’ Grand Prix was completed, in the closing gala of the festival, by a Titanium Lion, accolades that go to the most innovative campaign at international level.

McCann Erickson’s exceptional result places Romania on the map of the most known, creative and performant countries in international advertising industry.
