IAA Romania (International Advertising Association Romania) and UAPR (Romanian Advertising Agencies Association) announced the start of the entry period for this year’s edition of Romanian Effie Awards.
The agencies and companies can submit entries between February 21st and May 18th, with the judging process to take place on May 21st and June 1st and the announcement of the winners to be made during a Gala programmed for June 4th.
Effie Awards are recognizing the campaigns that had excellent results after betting on creative ideas and innovative strategies. At 2011 edition of the competition, there were 79 campaigns that entered the competition, submitted by 25 Romanian agencies and companies.
In 2012, the competition has 22 categories of products and services.
New at 2012 Effie Awards is that there is allowed the submission for campaigns that used just one communication channel.
Effie is the festival that awards communication campaigns’ results and recognizes the value of client-agency partnership. In these years full of challenges that marketing and communication industry in Romania faces, this partnership is even more important and the teams that manage to get results on a decreasing market deserve to be recognized at industry’s level

“How to win an Effie” seminary will take place on March 1st, at IAA Romania HQ. Among the speakers there will be Victor Dobre – IAA Romania, Stefan Chiritescu – Graffiti BBDO, Victor Stroe – Leo Burnett, Simina Leotescu – Propaganda and Stefan Teodorescu – SAB Miller.
