Amsterdam, promoted in a KLM Romania campaign

Digital & Media, Marketing

KLM Romania launched a campaign that promotes Amsterdam as touristic destination. The campaign runs between April 11th-May 3rd and will see 10 Facebook fans winning trips to Amsterdam, aiming in the same time to increase by 30% the number of passengers that go to Amsterdam.

The campaign was made from the desire to promote Amsterdam and its surroundings in the most beautiful moment of the year, spring, that coincides with the number one event of Netherlands horticulture sector – the floral exhibition from Keukenhof park (…) The success of the previous edition determined us to organize again this campaign aimed to promote Amsterdam and Tulip Land towards Romanian tourists

As part of the campaign, KLM invites its Facebook fans to enter a contest that puts on for grabs 5 week-end for 2 packages for Netherlands, Amsterdam, that also include visiting Keukenhof gardens. Because tulips are the heart of Netherlands, fans are challenged to create a virtual origami tulip and send it, along with an invitation, to someone dear. To do so, they must use a KLM app available on Facebook.

The winners will be selected following a draw and will be announced on May 4th, with their trip to Amsterdam scheduled to take place on May 12-13.

The 5 packages for 2 include 2 free round-trip plane tickets Bucharest-Amsterdam (taxes included), accommodation for a night with breakfast included at Dorint Amsterdam Airport (4 stars hotel), a visit to Keukenhof Gardens.
