Over Euro 70K for an UNICEF campaign, from Realitatea TV’s viewers

Realitatea TV’s viewers donated over Euro 70K during No Invisible Child campaign for UNICEF, that ran between June 23rd – August 24th. The funds will be used for continuing the project First Priority: No invisible child.

During the 2 months of campaign, Realitatea TV’s viewers and UNICEF fans on Facebook could watch the stories of some “invisible” kids and made  SMS and online donations. The total number of people that chose to donate for the campaign reached to over  35,000 people from Romania and from abroad.

The key moment of the fund raising campaign was the special edition “Wake up, Romania”, during which Andreea Marin Banica, ambassador of Good Will for UNICEF, hosted the show and promoted the campaign. During the show, there were present numerous Romanian personalities and TV stars that showed their support, among which Ion Tiriac and Camelia Sucu – business personalities, Vunk – music formation, Maria Dinulescu – actress, Valentin Butnaru, Cristian Stan, Inna and Connect-R – musicians, Ruxandra Dragomir, Luminita Anghel and Corina – singers, Albertina Ionescu, Amna and Cristina Stanciulescu.

The partners that made possible the donations were Orange, Vodafone and Cosmote, Romtelecom and BRD – Groupe Societe Generale.
