Creativity, Festivals & Awards

Romania is present at Eurobest’s 25th edition with 44 entries, most of them in Direct and PR, Media and Outdoor.

Romanian agencies entered 8 works in PR and an equal number in Direct, bet on 7 works in Media and 7 in Outdoor. In Print, 5 works were entered, while 3 are competing in Film.  Radio and Interactive attracted 2 entries each coming from Romania, while Promo&Activation and Integrated registered each 1 entry. Romanian agencies aren’t competing in Design, Craft:Film, Mobile, Branded Content&Entertainment and Craft: Print& Posters.

In total, Eurobest received almost 5,000 entries (4,847) for this year’s edition, slightly up compared to previous year. The entries came from 38 countries  and will be judged in Lisbon by 94 jury members, led by a stellar line-up including Sir John Hegarty, Lord Tim Bell, Jean-Remy von Matt, Rei Inamoto and Olivier Altmann.

Most entries came from Germany (1,021), followed by France (703), Sweden (463), UK (455), Switzerland (325), and Belgium (324).

Whilst the economic crisis prevails over Europe, the fact that the entries level is stable demonstrates that the European creative industries are still producing innovative work that deserves to be recognised with the much sought-after Eurobest award. With ‘Creative Bravery’ being the theme of this year’s Eurobest festival, we are eager to find out what brave pieces of communication the juries will select as winners
