mediaTrust analysis: Antena 3 – most frequently quoted media source

mediaTRUST made a top of the most quoted media sources in April, with Antena 3 and Hotnews.ro topping the rankings, while Romania TV also made its way to the first places. The report resulted after analyzing 476 articles and materials referring to printed or online publications, radio or TV stations quoted in printed press between April 1-30.

According to the report, Antena 3 had 55 mentions, assuming this way the 1st position in the top of the most frequent quoted media sources and up from the 3rd position in March. Second was  Hotnews.ro (43 mentions), followed by Romania TV, that reached the 3rd position with 37 mentions and outranked Realitatea TV (33). The top also includes ProTV (31), Realitatea.net (28), B1 TV (27) and others.

In print, the leader is Romania Libera (16), followed by Forbes (14), than Ziarul Financiar (12), Evenimentul Zilei (10), Jurnalul National (5), and Libertatea (5).

When it comes of TV stations, Antena 3 was quoted 55 times, Romania TV ranked 2nd (37), followed by Realitatea TV (33), Pro TV (31) and B1TV (27). From the radio channels, most quoted were Radio Zu, Romania Actualitati, Magic Fm and Europa Fm.

The most quoted online portals top is leaded by Hotnews.ro (43), followed by Realitatea.net (28), and Rtv.net (26); top 5 is rounded up by ZF.ro (9) and Ziare.com (8).

Forbes was the leader in most quoted business publications (14), followed by Ziarul Financiar (12). ZF.ro was quoted 9 times in print, while Wallstreet.ro and Capital.ro are at equality, each quoted 4 times.

All the media products were quoted by others in relation with various topics, from national politics to finance and economy, sports, celebrities and Romanian legal system.

mediaTrus’s “The most quoted media products in Romania” provides data on how often certain media products were quoted in media (print) and does not include press agencies. The research was conducted during April. The analysis includes all the materials in print that quoted various media (print, online, radio, TV). The report includes publications which refer to articles, comments and statements to have appeared in various media, provided they were not part of media reviews or reprints from other media. The study does not include materials which come from information agencies, for example, Mediafax, NewsIn and Agerpres.

The analysis includes 13 press publications  (Adevarul, Biz, Business Magazin, Capital, Click, Curierul National, Evenimentul Zilei, Forbes, Jurnalul National, Libertatea, Money Express, Romania Libera, Ziarul Financiar), posturi TV ( Antena 1, Antena 3, B1 TV, Kanal D, Money TV.ro, N24 Plus, OTV, Prima TV, PRO TV, Realitatea TV, TVR 1, TVR 2), radio stations (Bucuresti FM, Europa FM, Guerilla FM, Kiss FM, Magic FM, PRO FM, Radio 21, Radio ZU, Realitatea FM, Radio Romania Actualităţi) and websites (adevarul.ro, antena1.ro, antena2.ro, businessmagazin.ro, cancan.ro, capital.ro, click.ro, curierulnational.ro, dailybusiness.ro, evz.ro, gandul.info, hotnews.ro, jurnalul.ro, libertatea.ro, moneyexpress.ro, paginademedia.ro, realitatea.net, romanialibera.ro, rtv.net, stirileprotv.ro, wall-street.ro, zf.ro, dcnews.ro, ziuanews.ro, ziare.com).
