Valentine’s Day is the opportunity that Romanian merchants are speculating to the max and this is visible in their promotional campaigns, according to a mediaTRUST monitoring.
Between 1-14 February, there were broadcasted 1,234 commercials related to Valentine’s Day.
Bingo Romania is in top with the commercial “Super Bingo Metropolis brings a special lovers’ game”, with 136 broadcasts and a rate card of Euro 124,700, followed by Altex and “You fall in-love on Valentine’s Day” (100 broadcasts, Euro 229,715 rate card) and Carrefour with “Carrefour celebrates Valentine’s Day (broadcasted 86 times and with an Euro 23,979 rate card value) .
Most commercials related to Valentine’s were broadcasted on radio (825), followed by TVs (352) and print (25).
The radios that ran most Valentine’s commercials are Europa FM (218), Pro FM (215) and Radio Zu (149), while TV’s top is lead by Romania TV (59), followed by Pro TV (58), Antena Stars and GSP TV (48 each). Among print publications, most commercials appeared in Ring, Nine o’Clock and Libertatea.
Entertainment was the most advertised category (369 ads), followed by electronics stores (273), radios (131), hypermarkets (114) and commercial centers (102).
