Leo Burnett Romania and Sociology and Communication Faculty from Brasov’s Transilvania University launch, at the end of the week, Brasov Leo Academy, a platform dedicated to learning and achieving practical competences needed by the future practitioners in advertising.
This semester, people that are attending the 1st year of master in Managing image campaigns will benefit of Leo Burnett specialists’ presence every two weeks, as invited lecturers at the Promotion means seminary and class
I was present more than once among the Brasov communication students and I was impressed by their desire to learn the novelties in the field, the ambition they showed getting involved in the few projects in which I collaborated. As I am from Brasov, I have an extra reason to desire for the students here to have direct exposure also to the practical aspects of the communication, to be able to test theoretical notions acquired during the classes. In the same time, I don’t consider this project as being a patronage because it represents, for me and my colleagues, an important channel through which we stay connected to Romanian youth and we can gather insights from their world. It is a project in which there are premises for both parties to be winners

Bi-monthly presence of a specialist from Leo Burnett will mean an important portfolio of diverse competences available to the students and master fellows at our faculty and will offer access to case studies and real situations from Romanian business environment. Our intention is to develop the partnership also on other projects and, together with the friends from Leo Burnett, we will think a collaboration that will cover also other specialized classes studied as part of the licence program in Communication and PR and of the master in Image Campaigns management. Until than, I want to say that the access to classes and seminaries is open also to other students and master fellows from Transilvania University. The partnership with Leo Burnett Group started in 2012, with practice stages offered to our students at Starcom MediaVest, events organized by Brasov Communication school and the perspective offered for 3 months internships in Europe, financed via Erasmus program

Brasov Leo Academy will have a launch event, part of the manifestations organized for Transilvania University’s Days. The event will also include a session to take place starting 16.30, during which Mihai Bonca, marketing director Bergenbier/Molson Coors, one of the oldest Leo Burnett clients, will make retrospective and present the challenges advertising communication must take in consideration today.
