GMP PR trains pro bono future doctors in how to communicate with patients

Students that are attending universities in order to become doctors will be the beneficiaries of free workshops about communication with patients, offered by GMP PR as part of the campaign “Profession: doctor in Romania”. The project was initiated by Foreign Investors Council (FIC), through its Health Work Group.

The first workshop of the series took place at Medicine Faculty in Bucharest, and more workshops are scheduled also in other university centers around Romania.

Launched in 2013 under the slogan “Doctors for all! All for doctors!”, the campaign “Profession: doctor in Romania” aims to contribute to solving one of the most serious problems of Romanian health system: the exodus of medical professionals from Romania. Under campaign’s umbrella, there were implemented projects to answer the needs of doctors and medical students from Romania. The main objective of the campaign is to increase the number of doctors in Romania from 2.4 / 1000 people to 2.6 by 2015.

Over 10M people found out about the campaign via news and reportages in audio, video, printed and online press and over 20,000 medical professionals were informed directly or through special partnership. Last year, the campaign won the “associations” category at European Excellence Awards.
