Slovenian Advertising Chamber prepares for European advertising festivals Golden Drum, scheduled to will take place on October 7-10 in Portorož and Piran, Slovenia. A total of 1,220 entries from 24 countries were submitted in Golden Drum competitions this year. Adding to those are the young creatives’ entries: over 100 competing in 3 Off Drum competitions, namely Beat the Drum for Change 2014, Don’t Text & Drive Poland and Don’t Type & Drive Macedonia.
30 different networks submitted their entries, all competing for the grand prize: Golden Net Award. 35,1% of all entries (393 entries) came from independent agencies, bringing the overall number of entrants to 291 this year. Among the 24 countries competing in 2014, Turkey showed the biggest growth in terms of submitted entries (+41 compared to last year, up to 184)
The 37 countries competing in Golden Drum every year represent a market of over 400M consumers. Best entries await 17 Grand Prix Awards and 1 new award this year: Good Cause Grand Prix Award, Golden and Silver Drums, Golden Rose, Tartini Award, Golden Net, Brand Grand Prix, Virtuoso Awards and Golden Watch Award.
