Graffiti PR to handle corporate PR and corporate communication duties for Ursus

June 29, 2013June 9, 2014 Cristina Blanaru Business, Creativity

Graffiti PR was appointed to handle Ursus’ communication after a 4 months long pitch and after it managed to convince the company that is the best suited to handle the job.

Mircea Tomescu, Managing Director Graffiti PR

I would love to tell you that it was the ideal pitch – the one with a big dare, big opportunity, a lot of creativity and during which the 2 organizations were perfect and fell in love with one another like in a Hollywood cheesy comedy. But I don’t believe that stories behind pitches should be cosmetic. The truth is – no matter how we would prepare it – that it started bad: a member of the presentation team was confined to bed, we remade in the car the order of the presentation, we didn’t find a parking spot, we were seriously late and, when we reached the conference room, agency’s laptop didn’t wanted to get friends with client’s projector. The time reduced by a third and it was too late to follow any seduction strategy so, in the time that we still had, it was like telling to a friend (at a beer), what we would do for Ursus Breweries if we would have the chance.  There were than a few weeks of uncertainty (like after any first date), than we found out it worked

Mircea Tomescu,

Managing Director Graffiti PR.

Diana Klusch, Director Corporate Affairs, Ursus Breweries

We know that, in most cases when it comes to pitches, the perception is agencies have a lot to do and the client only comes and sits in during presentations. The reality is different from the perception, because one needs to add to the hours mentioned already as agency work also our work hours to get to an internal agreement on what we have to do and what we demand to the agencies, evaluations, discussions, little crisis management sessions (…) Still, any pitch gives you the vibe of a new start and hopes for new perspectives, new relations, new approaches and different communication ideas. Those are the expectations and we are convinced Ursus Breweries and Graffitti PR will make a good team

Diana Klusch,

Corporate Affairs Director, Ursus Breweries.
