Creativity, People

Lorand Balint, formerly working for Leo Burnett, Platypus partner and Associate Professor at Romanian-Canadian MBA, joined Publicis Romania starting October and took over the management of agency’s strategy team.

Known as “Boti” in Romanian advertising circles, Lorand Balint started his career as planner at BBDO Bucharest, than joined Leo Burnett, where, for 10 years, worked with clients such as P&G and Elite / Doncafé. Along the time, he was Regional Communications Manager Balkans, Regional Communications Manager Europe, Global Communications Manager, Regional Communications Sub-Saharian Africa, Group Communications Director Balkans, Head of Brand Communication, Global Communications Director, Chief Digital Officer.

Through his activity, Boti managed to boost its agency to the position of global leader for both brands and contributed to increasing the business both for the agency and its clients. He also volunteered as Marketing Consultant for Iko Poran NGO from Rio de Janeiro.

One of the most spectacular parts of his career and the one he was most associated with was the one during which, as Global Account Director P&G detergents, he washed clothes together with the women in Philippines, China, Russia, Polond, Serbia and Romania.

In just 3 years, he traveled in over 30 countries and he collects boarding-passes that he plans to show, when he is going to be old, to the ones that would listen to his stories

His complex experience in generating strategical business and communication solutions on major local and international projects and the passion he shows every day make Boti the perfect person to coordinate our strategy department. An essential department, with extended resources and responsibilities during these times when clients are looking more strategic input. With his experience and background, I am convinced that, very fast, he will become an asset for many of our clients.
