Happiness Stock Exchange – an Ogilvy & Mather Romania and Daruieste Viata association

Creativity

Happiness Stock Exchange was launched on November 28th, at Romania’s National Bank, and is an online platform to gather funds that would be used to buy equipment for oncology departments in Romanian hospitals. The event was an initiative from Daruieste Viata association, with support from Ogilvy&Mather.

The special guests of the event were Bogdan Olteanu – vice-governor BNR, Lucian Mandruta – Creative Marketing Manager Mediafax Group, Paula Herlo – Special Correspondent Pro TV, Gabriel Biris – Lawyer and Partner in a law firm and Tudor Chirila – Romanian singer

The idea of the project started from studies that show people are happier when they  manage to make others happy. International reports place Romania in the end of rankings of people’s happiness and on first places in those related to cancer incidence.

Using the platform, anyone can invest in equipment for oncology departments, helping to change the way the pacients are treated.

The fact that we can speak today not just about a punctual project to gather funds, but also about a platform that insures anytime access to happiness, resulted normally from the need to do something for our own daily happiness, supported by an enormous capital of positive energy invested by the entire Ogilvy and Daruieste Viata teams. The idea of Happiness Stock Exchange is to have a place where, permanently, we can recharge our batteries, feed our souls and live happily until we’re getting old, with the only law here being the generosity one: share happiness with the people around
