Eugen Suman took over as Executive Creative Director at MullenLowe Romania and joins the agency after working 10 years in advertising in 3 countries in the region. During his career, he received over 20 local and international awards, was international juror 6 times, had clients from 15 different industries and spent many hours volunteering in educational purposes. He is also a published author, with one book already on the market and another one to soon be published.
In one of the long talks we had during the getting acquaintance period, I had a moment of fear when I realized how many things we have in common: we like honesty, we love advertising, we can’t live without humor, we strongly believe that the best and happiest people are generating the best ideas for the happiest clients. Eugen Suman achieved a lot of awards and nominations at the main local and international festivals in 3 different countrie, Romania, Czechia and Slovakia, and worked for clients like Unilever, Vodafone, GE Money Bank, Tuborg, SAB Miller, Toyota, Dacia, Harley Davidson, Cărtureşti, Bang&Olufsen, British American Tobacco or Carrefour. He is constantly invited to judge to festivals like ADC*Europe, Golden Hammer, New York Festivals, AD*STARS Asia or Effie. Suman is also holding the mandate of president of ADC*RO, Art Directors Club of Romania.
MullenLowe is a network with an extremely visible work internationally, and the team in Romania has the potential to be one of the offices to stand out at all levels: locally, internationally, in the heart of consumers and on the stage of creative festivals. For that matter, this is one of my ambitions on coming in the agency – together with my colleagues, I want to make MullenLowe the place to be, whether talking about super creative and talented people or clients that are looking for an unfair share of attention for their brands. Previous to joining MullenLowe, Eugen was creative director to one of the biggest digital agencies in romania, after he already acquired regional experience on the same position in agencies from Prague and Bratislava. In 2013, Jandl, where Suman was heading the creative team, was named Agency of the Year in Bratislava and second best agency in New Europe at Golden Drum, while Suman received the title of second best Creative Director in Slovakia. A year before, in 2012, he was selected as the fourth copywriter in the world, according to Luerzer’s Archive.
