eBay refreshed its logo

September 13, 2012November 3, 2012 Cristina Blanaru Business, e-Commerce

eBay announced a refreshed logo, that is rooted in company’s history and reflects also a dynamic future. The new eBay promotes shopping anytime, anywhere and focuses on connecting buyers and sellers to the things they need and love.

17 years ago, also in September, eBay created a new way for people to buy and sell practically anything.

We’ve since helped millions of people launch their own businesses and helped change the way the world shops for things they need and love. Today we’re creating the future again. We’ve been building the new eBay. And today, we’re proud to introduce a new look for the eBay brand

Devin Wenig
President, eBay

Our refreshed logo shows eBay today – a global online marketplace offering a clean, more contemporary and consistent experience, with innovation that makes buying and selling easier and more enjoyable. The new logo keeps the core elements from the old one, including the color palette that represents the entire eBay community – over 100M active users and 25M sellers worldwide. As a trend-setter in that lead finding new ways to sell and buy, eBay is a mobile commerce leader: it has mobile apps downloaded for over 100M times and expects, in 2012, over $10BN transaction volumes via mobile.
