Samsung Romania – accelerated growth in Social Media with creative campaigns and innovative approaches

The Facebook community gathered by Samsung Electronics Romania increased 15% in 2014, compared to the previous year, with the development generated by the interactive campaigns which offered fans useful and fun content. The 3 pages managed by Samsung on Facebook had 1.4M users in 2013 and reached to over 1.6M users in 2014.

The 3 Facebook pages of Samsung Electronics Romania – Samsung Trends of Tomorrow, Samsung Mobile Romania and Samsung Romania – are occupying top places in local Romanian rankings.

The evolution of Samsung’s social media community was supported by interactive campaigns, offering to the users the opportunity to find out useful and fun information about Samsung products, tech, relevant international trends and local insights on the market and users. Samsung ran campaigns on vary social networks, like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, with each project using platform’s specifics for the benefit of the users. Moreover, community pages were boosted with relevant content and useful info, live posting from relevant events for brand and its users, with all those helping the brand to get closer to its Facebook users.

As its activity in social media is an integrated one, Samsung didn’t activated only on Facebook, coming up with special installments also for  Twitter, Instagram and YouTube users.

One of the most successful Instagram campaigns in Romania last year was Samsung’s #DorDeRomania. Romanian Instagram users posted, for a month, over 4,000 photos to make those living abroad missing Romania; the hashtag continues to be used although the campaign is over. A different campaign ran on Twitter, with almost 1,000 tweets gathered under campaign’s hashtag #In2015Vreau, which gathered together the resolutions of the users in a wishes’ gallery.
