61 agencies from 18 countries made it on PIAF’s shortlist

Creativity, Festivals & Awards

A total of 61 agencies from 18 countries have made it to the shortlist of PIAF, with BBDO Russia being the most successful with 12 nominations. Czech agencies, all together, scooped 21 nomination.

The winners will be chosen by an international jury headed by Ben Tollett (adam&eveDDB London) during the decision-making in Prague on April 25th to 27th.

In this 7th annual competition of creativity, the international jury will have to judge 140 works in 14 categories. The strongest categories are Creating the Media and Audience engagement. This year the jury chose more works than last year (120) to go to the final round.

We can look forward to a variety of innovative concepts. In past years the strongest categories were Storytelling and Flash Impact, which usually represent outstanding work in traditional formats

Marek Hlavica,

Festival Director

According to him, it clearly reflects an increasing emphasis on content campaigns with a high degree of interaction. These are also typical for the blending of many communications fields from ATL to digital and even public relations.

Among the most exotic PIAF participants are agencies from South Korea, Singapore, Japan or Canada. The final decision will be held traditionally at Club Avion in Prague. The Award Ceremony with a showcase of award-winning works will then close the two-day PIAF conference. This will take place in the underground of the Prague Trade Fair Palace on April 26th and 27th, with 30 speakers from 10 different countries. The first day of the conference focuses on marketing and communication in sports and on interactive workshops. The second day will bring among others a presentation by PIAF Jury Chairman Ben Tollett.
