Romania, present in IAB Europe’s Managing Board

IAB Europe announced its new Managing Board, elected by the General Assembly of the annual Interact congress. New board’s mandate is of 2 years and shows an increased presence of Central and Eastern Europe.

President of the board is Constantine Kamaras (IAB Greece), VP – Stéphanie Hospital, Executive Vice-President Orange Digital. Other members of the board are Didier Ongena – General Manager Microsoft Advertising Western Europe, Fabiano Lazzarini – General Manager IAB Italy and Thomas Schauf – Head of European and International Affairs BVDW (IAB Germany).

Members of the board re-elected for another term are Thomas Duhr – Executive VP Interactive IP Deutschland ( United Internet Media), Patrick Marck – General Manager, IAB Belgium; Guy Phillipson, CEO IAB UK; Mike Read, SVP & Managing Director, comScore Europe and Antonio Traugott, General Manager, IAB Spain.

The new members are Ioana Anescu – Managing Director IAB Romania, Neslihan Mesutoglu – member of the board IAB Turkey and  Wlodzimierz Schmidt – president IAB Poland.

From corporations, members that joined the board for the 1st time are Anne Goodman – Senior VP Marketing Ad Sales, BBC Worldwide; Ben Humphry – Managing Director, UK/Irlanda, nugg.ad; Janneke Niessen – Co-founder & CIO Improve Digital (Publicitas); Marc Panic, COO EMEA, GroupM and Estelle Werth, Legal Director, Commercial and Privacy, Criteo.

Romania’s presence in the board shows that our local digital industry has a say when it comes of sector’s evolution at European level. I am glad to see that our country is recognized as an important decision maker in digital business and, this way, its active participation to IAB Europe’s actions is also recognized. Moreover, for Romania as an industry, the presence in the board means a better visibility of the business sector and a better representation of its interests and of the other emergent regional industries
