-9% of total net ad spend in Romania in 2010, versus 2009

Initiative Romania published, Tuesday, June 2nd, Media Fact Book 2010, a study that offers an image of the Romanian market during last year and estimates regarding its evolution for 2010.

According to Initiative’s estimation, the total net ad spend in 2010 will continue the downward trend and decrease by up to 9% versus 2009.

Print (-27%) and OOH (-17%) will be the most affected media this year, while Radio is expected to decrease only marginally (-10%). TV will decrease also, by 6%, while online market is expected to grow by up to 12%.

In the 1st quarter of current year, the top investors didn’t change dramatically compared to 2009.The leading categories of advertisers are Medical & Optical products & services, followed by Mobile Telecommunication services, Hygienic, Milk Products, Bank & Insurance services and Cosmetics.

Distinctively from the other editions of the study, this year’s Media Fact Book includes a special chapter dedicated to  Creative Media Usage.
